As the story goes…
Many years ago two sales reps named Pete and John were sent to a remote Caribbean island on a business trip.
They were there scouting out new areas of growth for the bicycle company they worked for back in the states.
After the first day of prospecting they both noticed that no one at all on the island rode bikes. Instead they all just ran everywhere.
That next morning Pete contacted headquarters and said, “I’m coming back early, there are no bike riders here. It’s not part of their culture.”
Soon after John contacted headquarters as well and said, “This area is prime. Send in reinforcements. There’s absolutely nothing but opportunity here!”
MORAL OF THE STORY: When we see things with positive and fearless eyes we’ll usually find opportunity right in front of us. Let’s never mistake, “Success Is Nowhere” for “Success Is Now Here.”
