How To Stop Being Lazy Starting Now

I’m sure we can tell ourselves ten fast reasons why we’re not going to pursue our goals or chase our dream life.

After all perusing goals and better lives is difficult. There’s plenty of reason out there NOT to do it.

However those reasons are all lies. Sure, they may be nice sounding and even somewhat convincing lies; but they’re lies nonetheless. They’re called ‘rational lies.’

To be honest, the real reason why we don’t pursue our goals or our dream life today, is because we’re FEELING LAZY.

Sure, we can drum up support for our ‘rational lies’ from our friends, our family, and even our dog; but it doesn’t change that fact that we’re simply lying to ourselves.

Understanding this is the key to how to stop being lazy.

Don’t take this personally. I’m not singling you out here. It’s just overwhelmingly true that the reason most people don’t succeed is because they’re simply LAZY.

It’s not because they don’t know what to do; or that there’s a lack of knowledge, or that something is just too complicated.

Nope, it’s just because most people are plain lazy so they tell themselves ‘rational lies’ so they feel better about everything; for a little while anyway.

That’s what we all need to combat in order to really learn how to stop being lazy.

The good news is that we all have the ability to overcome laziness. We weren’t born lazy. Which means that we created it for ourselves; and if we created it for ourselves we can ‘un-create’ it too.

We all must remember the following three lines as we progress towards our goals:

We don’t lack the ability.

We don’t lack the intelligence.

BUT, we often times lack the DILIGENCE.

It may sound kind of bad, but it’s all really good news. Actually it’s EXCELLENT, because lack of ability or intelligence is very difficult to overcome; but lack of diligence is easy to correct.

We can overcome our laziness RIGHT NOW by simply being diligent. I just did it right now. I was having some trouble getting myself to start writing today. I got a little lazy about it.

However, I just overcame that temporary laziness by diligently writing even though I didn’t feel like it.

I caught myself telling a ‘rational lie,’ then I turned it around which is the core of how to stop being lazy. I overcame the temporary laziness and started writing even though I didn’t want to.

I took the action of putting myself in motion, which transformed my emotions, which quickly eliminated my laziness and all the ‘rational lies.’ I simply took some diligent action and all the laziness vanished.

Now I’m done with my writing and can proceed onto something else. I’ve just beaten laziness and we all can do the same thing starting right now. Get at it.

That’s ultimately how to stop being lazy while further tapping into our inborn power. This will bring us closer to living as the most complete version of ourselves immediately.
